William T. (Bill) Kryger, Sr., 80, of Dakota City, NE passed away at a Sioux City hospital on Friday, December 30, 2011.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 5, 2011 at the Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, NE with Pastor Randall Knuth officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Visitation will begin at 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home on Thursday, with the family present at 6:00 P.M., prior to the service. Condolences may be posted online at www.mohrfuneralhome.com.
Bill was born in Yankton, S.D. on August 31, 1931, the son of John P. and Daisy B. (Pond) Kryger. He grew up in rural Meckling, S.D. He married Delores Anderson in South Sioux City, NE on July 28, 1951. The couple lived in Sioux City, IA before moving to Dakota City, NE, where he remained until his death. Delores passed away on December 13, 2007.
Bill worked for Cargill in Sioux City, IA for 43 years. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and hunting.
He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include one daughter, Connie and her son, Matthew Kryger; one son, Bill Kryger and his special friend, Monica Mullins, all of Sioux City, IA; grandson, Dustin (Erika) Kryger and great-granddaughter, Kierstyn, with another brother or sister on the way, of Bakersfield, CA; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Jamie and his wife, Jeri Bowman, and their daughters of South Sioux City, NE.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Delores; 7 brothers; and 2 sisters.
