Paul W. Bobenmoyer, 65, of Ponca, NE passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2012, at a Sioux City hospital due to complications during heart surgery.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Mohr Funeral Home in Ponca, NE with PMA Chad Beckius of Faith Lutheran Church in Maskell, NE officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

Paul was born in Lynch, NE on March 16, 1946, the son of Marion C. and Sallie R. (Moody) Bobenmoyer. While growing up, he lived in Santee, NE, Elk Point, SD and Obert, NE. He graduated from Obert High School. He worked at Waldbaums, Madison Foods, Worldwide Auto Salvage and Walmart. Paul married and had one daughter, Carolina.

He enjoyed painting, fishing, hunting and stargazing through his telescope.

Survivors include his daughter, Carolina Engdahl of Fremont, NE; 1 brother, Neil Bobenmoyer of Obert, NE; 1 sister, June (Norman) Anderson of Newcastle, NE; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Sallie; 1 sister, Jean Herfel; and 1 sister-in-law, Marie Bobenmoyer.
