Loved this guy like a brother. So many stories from childhood on.... so blessed to have him walk through life with me!!!!!!! There was one time, no many times.....oh, I will save the stories for another time!!!!!! His smile was contagious and never did he allow anyone to feel like outsider!!!!! He loved to make people laugh and was quick to laugh with anyone. Rest in peace my friend!!!!!!!!
Bradley Scott Bottorff, 60, of Ponca, NE entered into eternal rest on June 5, 2019, at his home.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 P.M. Monday, June 10, 2019 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Ponca, NE with Father Andrew L. Sohm officiating. Visitation with the family present will begin at 1:30 P.M. Monday at the church. Burial will be in the Ponca Cemetery. Mohr Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Brad "Smad" Bottorff was born May 15, 1959 in California, the son of Vernon and Judy (McQuillen) Bottorff. The family moved to Ponca where he attended and graduated from Ponca Public School. He then attended Western Iowa Tech and received a degree in Carpentry. He was married to Darla DeVoss for 14 years.
Brad enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved the outdoors and making people laugh. He had a big heart for people and dogs during his lifetime.
Survivors include his mother, Judy Curry; sisters, Carrie (Bob) Lux and Mona Rae Russell of Ponca, NE; brother, Kurt (Kim) Bottorff of Fremont, NE; special friend, Lisa; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Bottorff.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
Brad was such a special guy and dear sweet friend. Always had time for a visit and always had a story to tell. Brought many a smile and laugh to anyone who would listen. He always had time for a dog or any animal. God bless him! As he bless all who really knew him.
